Jamshedpur :The JNAC is riddled with corruption.
Babus are holding posts even after being transferred.
Unhindered illegal construction in the heart of the city goes unnoticed by these babus
because they have been blinded by the immense amount of bribe money being pumped
into the system to let unauthorised construction continue unhindered.
Steel City Jamshedpur is considered as one of the most beautiful cities of India.
But the day is not far when it will become a traffic mess.
7 to 8 storied buildings are being constructed where only 2 floors are permitted.
No space for parking is being constructed in these buildings.
Imagine a 6 floor commercial building with 5000 sq ft on each floor being constructed
on a site which has 20 feet wide road . Each floor will approximately accommodate 100 people.
So the number of people in the building is 600.
This means 500-600 cars/two-wheelers of the occupants of this building will need parking space.
Parking of vehicles a major issue:
Since no parking space is available in the building.
All these vehicles will be parked on the road.
Considering 100 cars and 500 two-wheelers a total of 10,000 sq ft of parking space
will be required to accommodate these vehicles.
If the road which houses this complex is 500 ft long and 20 ft wide with 10 ft extra on each side
then the road area is 20,000 ft, out of which half i.e 10,000 sq ft of the road and pavement will
be occupied by the office goers of this one building.
If this road houses 3 such buildings imagine the CHAOS.
It is high time that the authorities take stringent action against the
unhindered illegal construction for the beautiful steel city to remain liveable.
If this goes on then time is not far that road rage , accidents, fights etc become a
daily practice among the citizens of the city.
